Ingredients
  

  • 1 large bag (10–12 oz) tortilla chips
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning or 2 tablespoons homemade taco spice
  • 1 cup black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese or Mexican blend
  • ½ cup diced tomatoes
  • ¼ cup sliced jalapeños
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Sour cream, guacamole, or salsa for serving

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground meat with taco seasoning until fully cooked.
  3. On a large baking sheet or oven-safe dish, layer half the tortilla chips.
  4. Sprinkle half of the cooked meat, beans, and cheese over the chips. Repeat with remaining chips and toppings.
  5. Bake 8–10 minutes or until cheese is fully melted.
  6. Remove from oven and top with fresh tomatoes, jalapeños, green onions, and optional sour cream or guacamole.
  7. Serve immediately.
