Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup long-grain rice
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup tomato sauce (canned)
  • 1 ½ cups broth
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Pepper, to taste

Method
 

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add rice and cook for 1 minute, stirring to coat.
  3. Pour in tomato sauce and broth.
  4. Add salt and pepper; stir well.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Fluff with a fork and serve.
